Holland man nabbed in Arizona for sex with boy
Police in Arizona say a Holland man flew across the country to meet and seduce a 16-year-old boy he met online at myspace.com. Edward Lara-Gutierrez, 22, was arrested Saturday at a Tempe, Ariz., hotel.
The teenager and Lara-Gutierrez began talking about two months ago on the myspace site, which has recently come under fire for having sex offenders registered as users.
This guy traveled across the country to meet this boy for sex. This is after chatting on myspace for two months. It is not a myspace problem. If a kid is chatting with somebody for two months, why did nobody else know about it?

Cop Pleads Guilty To Sex With 13-Year-Old Boy
An Illinois police officer pleaded guilty Friday in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to having sex with a 13-year-old boy in Dubuque.
Donald Rager, 40, met the boy through an Internet chat room, according to court records. Rager took him to a Dubuque, Iowa, hotel on Feb. 12, 2006, and had sex while Rager video-recorded them, prosecutors said. Rager also showed the boy other videos of men having sex with minor boys.
Rager spent 20 years in law enforcement.
I am thinking that he enforced his own laws on society for 20 years.....

Father arrested on Internet sex charges in Louisiana
Multiple charges were filed Tuesdsay against a Murfreesboro father accused of trying to solicit a 14-year-old Louisiana girl for sex, a sheriff’s detective said.
Father Gregory Freeman, 48, of 306 Olympia Place was charged with multiple counts of computerized solicitation of a minor, indecent behavior with a juvenile and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, said Detective Mickey McCullough. More charges may be pending.
The warrants stated Freeman tried to entice the girl to come to Tennessee by paying for a plane ticket, the detective said.

Pervert off to the slammer- Convicted of having sex with 13-year-old boy
A 39-year-old pervert with a “disregard for humanity” was sent to the penitentiary today for having sex with a 13-year-old boy he met on an Internet chat line.
“He has acted out and sexually offended against a child,” said Crown prosecutor Steven Bilodeau. “He’s crossed the line.”
According to agreed facts, Hansma first met the teen victim on the Edmonton-based Nexopia web site in August 2005 and, while he said he was 35 despite being 38 at the time, he knew throughout that the boy was 13.
Their online conversations culminated in a meeting at Westmount Shopping Centre.
However, after lunch they took a taxi to a downtown hotel where Hansma had booked a room. They watched TV, talked and drank booze and then had sex.
Another one off the Internet for now - I still can not help but wonder what happens to the children that are groomed by the Predators that do not get caught. All we can hope for is for prison to give him a better regard for humanity...

Police: Girl lured from chatroom - A Bergen County man has been charged with using the Internet to lure a 14-year-old Newton girl into several sexual encounters outside her home since April, detectives said. Police allege Florentino, a tech support employee for an unspecified company in Hackensack, picked the girl up in his 1995 Nissan Pathfinder "and then committed several acts of sexual assault and sexual contact upon the child victim."
Florentino is charged with sexual assault and electronic luring of a child, both second-degree crimes, third degree endangering the welfare of a child and fourth-degree aggravated criminal sexual contact.
"Prepare your children for the online world just as you would for the real world and protect them from it," the center recommends.
The recent arrest in Newton proves that online behavior is indeed part of real life, detectives said.
