Internet pedophile jailed for six years
A PREDATORY pedophile who stalked a 14-year-old girl on the internet and manipulated her into a sexual relationship has been jailed for at least six years.
The court was told Henderson, 36, of Strathmore, first contacted the girl in October 2005 on the internet purporting to be a 17-year-old male.
They developed an online relationship in which the girl fell in love with him.
"The most alarming aspect of this distressing story is that it all happened when (the victim) was at home and whilst her parents believed that she was secure and doing no more than her homework," Judge Duggan said.
The judge said he hoped the case received publicity as parents should be made aware the internet can be used to target and manipulate a child.
Henderson pleaded not guilty to the charges and had always denied any sexual activity with the girl - I wonder if he can plead innocent to Bubba...
