Summertime means more cyberpredators signing online
With summer soon arriving, parents of young children should be aware that more cyber predators will be signing online. Predators know that children will be out of school and using the Internet more often.
Web sites like MySpace and programs like AOL Instant Messenger are gold mines for cyber predators because they make young kids all over the world accessible to them,” said Chris Faulkner, the CEO of CI Host, the world’s largest, privately held Web-hosting company. “A child’s diary used to be a sacred thing hidden under the bed, but today kids will broadcast their personal information and pictures all over the Internet for friends and strangers alike to see.”
A Very good article - says a lot!
